Chi-Raq is about a modern day adaptation of the ancient Greek play Lysistrata by Aristophanes, set against the backdrop of gang violence in Chicago.

• It won the African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) award in 2015.

• With a result of this the movie flunked as the director was unable to reveal what truly happened in Chicago.
