Thrillers in Technicolor

Alfred Hitchcock turned the thriller genre around at this time by making the first technicolour thriller films. This improved the mise-en-scene of films as it allowed different lighting and colour into the films. Rope was a technicolour film by Hitchcock released in 1948.
Psycho

This is another one of Hitchcock's films - it is one of the most well-known thriller films ever. In the film, a woman steals money from her employer. When she flees, she stops at a motel where she is murdered.

Inception is a recent thriller film. It is one that explores complex narratives in thrillers. It was directed and written by Christopher Nolan and stars Leonardo DiCaprio - who appears in many thriller films.
These are very well known Thriller film in history, as they are still known today shows the amount of people who loved them and shows that the still have an effect on society. Also as you see, the closer to 2016 the films get, the more graphic they get. I think that this is good because in the modern world of technology, we can get things to look a lot more realistic and scary.
I think that I will probably watch a few of these films to get inspiration for my film opening. I think that they will also have clips that I may want to take inspiration from. I think that thrillers are a good genre to do as I know that it is quite easy to scare someone with a type of music, following the character in a dark room and a titled angled camera. But I know that this project is going to be fun but hard also.
