Setting
Setting is where the actions of a film take place. For example we watched an extract from 'The Duchess' and they use 5 different locations to make the home for the main characters seem huge. For example they used a dining room from one palace in England and then used a different place for the front of the palace which is used as the entrance of the main characters home.
For setting they need to make sure they choose the right costumes and props for the time that the film in meant to be set in. For example if you were doing a film from the 1800 then you would have big dresses and men dressed in smart clothes continually. But if you were doing a film in front of the time that is now then you would have to think what people would wear in the future. I think that i am going to set my opening to the time that it actually is. So i will be using clothes that people wear now.
