Different Types of Film Shots
Match on action:
Is where the camera man cuts from one position to a different but matching the position.
For example: A man walking up to a door and about to turn the knob and switching to the opposite side of the door and filming him walking in the room.
Shot reverse shot:
Is where one character is filmed looking at one character, and vice versa.
For example: two people having a conversation and the camera is pointing to the person who is talking, while switching dialogue the camera also switches.
180 degree shot:
Is where the camera is passing over an invisible axis.
For example: is where two characters in a scene should maintain the same left/right position to one and other.
